12-16-2000 Happy Anniversary Georgette.:) It's been a rather bittersweet year. So much has happened. Not a day goes by without thoughts of you. I long to hold you, but I know you are happy and that helps:) Emily still calls you, if we haven't listened to your tapes for a few days. It helps her somehow I think. She puffs out her little cheeks, bobs up and down and makes happy sounds when she hears you:) She does immitate you again, but not as much as when you were with us. Guess you will always be in Emily's heart also:)

Another Blue Front has stolen my heart on March 23, 2000.:) Amy is so sweet and has learned to speak many words from your tapes. She even tells me to have a good day and asked if I had a good day as you did:) Also says cut the nails. lols!!! She has helped fill the emptiness and has brought the Amazon humor back to our home:)

Yes it has become less painful and I can even smile or laugh at our memories:) You will always be in my heart. There will never be a day without thoughts of you:) Thank you for all these delightful memories Georgette. Have a wonderful day with all our fids waiting with you on this your first Anniversary at Rainbow Bridge:)

With All Our Love

Momma, Chillie, Yoda, Emily, Charlie, Thumper, Sammy, Hoppy, Indigo, Saphire, Harley and Amy too:)

12-16-2001 Happy Anniversary Georgette:)

Well You have had a few new comers this year. Our dear Harley among them. I always remember the day the keets dicided to explore and I found Harley in your cage. The two of you just hanging from the top side by side. I am sure you two must hang out a lot together now.:)

Amy has been a joy to us. She is so much like, yet very unlike you. She is a clown, very sweet and oh so wants to sing. She doesn't want to sing the songs we sang together, no matter how much she hears them. She would love to sing opera, but you know that's not me. lols!!!

She belts out AIMEE or HELLOO EVEREEBODIEE. I really have to find that song she wants to sing. She will be a grand singer.:)

She tends to roam. Always getting into trouble. I have it so she can play on that 2 by 6 foot dresser with her night cage on it and her 2 by 3 foot day cage. That's more than enough space to keep her busy. The first thing she does is take all the foot toys and throw them on the floor. The drop down pin from her cage goes flying also. Then she roams all the grey's night cages. Glad she basically stays off these once the greys are in them. But she's had her share of close calls. She certainly is a little bratty.:) You were the little lady, hardly ever getting yourself into trouble and so delicate in your play. Amy on the other hand is pretty wild with her play and goes through her toys pretty quick. She is absolutely amazing to watch.

You know Georgette, I can't believe so far, even while pinning her eyes and fanning her tail, strutting in full display she will not bite. I can go up to her and ask if she wants her footsie kissed and she will stick it right in my face.:) Thanks so much for sending her my way.

We have two new flock members now, Georgette:) Kiwi a Japanese white eye And Chaps a 25 year old CAG who lost his Daddy. Chaps just laid an egg 3 days ago. I was pretty sure he was she. lols!!!

Emily will still call you on occasion. She will never forget you either, you know. She still loves to listen to your tapes.:) She gets so animated and I know she is remembering.:) btw Emily did a show with me and she did a great job. Everyone was so impressed at what a great bird she is. Of course we knew that, didn't we.:)

Have a wonderful day with all our fids waiting with you on this your second Anniversary at Rainbow Bridge:)

With All Our Love

Momma, Chillie, Yoda, Emily, Sammy, Thumper, Charlie, Hoppy, Saphire, Indigo, Amy, Chaps and Kiwi

12-16-2002 Happy Anniversary Georgette:)

It's been a rough year Georgette. It's hard to believe the void you have left in my heart. Oh, I am doing okay.:) Just miss you so much. Amy helps but we are all unique. You were so very special to me Georgette.:)

Being wild caught and so very young, I knew you may not have even lived 5 years. Statistics were against you. Houdini only lived 6 years. So every night when I returned from work and saw you on your perch from outside, I said a prayer of thanks to the Lord.:) When you made it past 5 I was hopefull you would be here 40 years or more. Not a day went by that you weren't waiting on that perch for me to come home. Not a day went by without that little prayer of thanks.:) I think that's why it was so hard to lose you, Georgette. I still thank God for the time we did have.:) I do know that one day it won't be so bad.:)

Well, another canine has joined us. Her name is Maureen. Abandoned and destined for the pound. Tried to find her a home but she is now a member of the family.:) She is a very sweet little dog and very obedient. I love her so much.:) She is having some trouble at the moment Georgette. Going to the Vet in the morning. Maybe you could put a healing request in for her.

Otherwise things are about the same. We lost Thelma and Carly's Jessie this year, have you met them yet? I broke my right hand earlier tonight and it is hard to type but I couldn't let this day go by without paying tribute to you.:)

Emily is doing well. She finally gave up calling you this year. But she remembers you, Georgette.:) She always will.

I know you have been channeling through Amy. And I have felt your tugs at my shirt.:) I thank you for that.:) We had that talk about you not worrying and that I could finally let you go. I know you understood. But you still return bless your heart.:) So I guess you want to visit from time to time. You would think by this and having your voice on tape I wouldn't miss you so much but I guess it's the visual and physical part. The longing to see and to hold you close.:) One day we will again my sweetie:)

Have a wonderful day with all our fids waiting with you on this your third Anniversary at Rainbow Bridge:)

With All Our Love

Momma, Chillie, Yoda, Maureen, Emily, Sammy, Thumper, Charlie, Chaps, Amy, Hoppy, Saphire, Indigo and Kiwi

9-16-2003 I am so sorry Georgette.:( You know why. It was your karma I suppose but this really sucks! I love you sweety.:)

Georgette, Stephanie's Daphne is in trouble. She is to be spayed today. Would you please put in healing request and guidance for her surgical team? btw Sicily came through her troubles without incident.:) Thank you Georgette.:)

12-16-2003 Happy Anniversary Georgette:)

Well you have a few new friends to celebrate with this year. Have you met Ms Moses and Hannah? Daphne is doing wonderful I'm happy to say.:) I thought you finally decided to stay away being you didn't visit for two months after my hospital stay. Or was I not in tune then as we are honored with your presence here and there again. Thank You Sweety.:)

Seems I have to remember your anniversary here each year even though we still communicate at times. It's my way of recording the years to you and anyone reading this. To show you are not "Just a Bird" as some believe. To show how much a part of ones life a bird can be, no matter a budgie to a macaw. That my birds mean as much to me as any of my friends and family; even more.

Okay; you do hold an extra special place in my heart. I don't deny that. After all your species live a long time. Just like people our birds can cross over young. It hurts a Mom to lose a child as that's not supposed to happen. So it is with us. It hurt so much to lose you at such a tender age. As you know I have come to terms with this. That doesn't mean that a day goes by with out thoughts of you. Our memories are very precious as are you. Our love is forever.:)

Have a wonderful day with all our fids waiting with you on this your fourth Anniversary at Rainbow Bridge:)

With All Our Love

Momma, Chillie, Yoda, Maureen, Emily, Sammy, Thumper, Charlie, Chaps, Amy, Hoppy, Saphire, Indigo and Kiwi

12-16-2004 Happy Anniversary Georgette:)

Is it really five years since I last held you close my love? It's been quite a year as you know. Thankfully we survive here on earth. Someday we shall be together again though. Till then I remember you in my heart, mind and soul Georgette.

Have a wonderful day with all our fids waiting with you on this your fifth Anniversary at Rainbow Bridge:)

With All Our Love

Momma, Chillie, Yoda, Maureen, Emily, Sammy, Thumper, Charlie, Chaps, Amy, Hoppy, Saphire, Indigo, Star and Kiwi

12-16-2005 Happy Anniversary Georgette:)

Yet another year goes by my love. What a year it has been. Finally I realise I can not continue in my career in the pet shop. The wood hypersensitivity has gotten way to out of control and my mind and body are finally falling apart under the assault. So for my health it's over. Don't know what it is will be my next venture but it will be a giant step down the ladder unless I manage to find something that my skills will be an asset. Who would think such a thing would happen mid stream. Well upwards and onwards. No time to lose faith as always.

Well Kiwi has joined you two months ago. He was such a sweet little parakeet. Never did find his family. I'm sure you noticed him in our flock of budgies waiting at the bridge with you.

I can hardly believe Yoda was 16 this year and still going strong. Blind, skinny old guy now but still takes his walks all around the house every night even though his patelas are completely luxated now.

Emily hasn't forgetten you either you know. She still calls you with that weird low call now and then and loves to listen to your tapes. Stay well my sweet.

Have a wonderful day with all our fids waiting with you on this your sixth Anniversary at Rainbow Bridge:)

With All Our Love

12-16-2006 Happy Anniversary Georgette:)

Well Georgette I am sure you have found Yoda by now. I know he's young and healthy again; hopefully remembering all. You see he went senile this year and the last two months had no idea who I, he or where he was. His blindness didn't help matters. I made him as comfortable as possible in the end and with God's help he passed on pretty quietly. Chillie and Maureen said their goodbye's and after a period of mourning Chillie was her wild self again. Maureen I was surprised even said goodbye; she was so mean to him at times. She would snap at him if he got close and he would get startled being blind and all. Maureen and Chillie are closer now also even though Maureen still doesn't like to play with her. lol Such an aloof little brat.

Almost lost Star also but after a long recoup he is well again. Maureen needed her teeth cleaned as she was getting sick they were so bad and I was worried sick over her with the possible seizure from the stress. She came through it fine though.:) Her teeth and gums were healthy; just the build up of all that tarter was making her sick. She's doing great now.:)

It's been another rough year Georgette. A couple of days to the year out of work. Finally got a job telemarketing free business magazines. Georgette you know me and I just don't stress out but I pity those who do this work. I lasted 6 weeks I think. lol Not! Me who is never sick except for the extrinsic asthma when exposed was getting the problems stress causes with digestion as well as feeling like a caged animal. One day I just panicked and quit. Not a wise move I know but without medical well not so unwise either.

Not to worry; I have come into a little inheritance from Raymond; have you met him yet? I am hoping to start something on the Internet. As I see it that's about the best I can try for now. Put in a good word for us up there; okay:)

Georgette there's a Whippet named Vivi that escaped her crate Feb 15th this years. It's been 10 months of posting, searching and many people from all over the states having been contributing to the cause; making flyers, cards, faxing, calls and so much more. I am one of the volunteers of the Vivi team and it's filled up the time between interviews, resumes and searching for work.

It's been a pretty busy year with this search which had me out many hours. Getting to see a lot of nature which I love so was a good thing in a way. Also met so many wonderful people and forged many friendships. The foot soldiers as we are called have become family. In fact maybe you have met Mango; Rosa, Tina and Wendy's love bird. They loved him so much. I know you will keep an eye on him for them.:)

So many other animals and causes were helped through the loss of Vivi and I believe this was God's plan. It's been a bitter sweet learning experience with many happy endings. We would love to have Vivi home for Christmas. Georgette would you put in a word for us. We sure could use the help. Tell the Lord we all agree in Jesus's name. I know it's in his time and he has this plan but we are tired and worried so maybe you can plea our hopes.

Have you seen John yet? Sadly he passed just this month. As you know he was a wonderful man who rescued many birds. I know he will help in finding Vivi if he is able. I can see you on John's shoulder pleading out petition to the Lord. Thanks for you help in this Georgette.

Otherwise we are doing okay Georgette. Emily still enjoys hearing you on the tapes and listening to the ones where we interact with Yoda bring back so many precious moments.:)

Have a wonderful day with all our fids waiting with you on this your seventh Anniversary at Rainbow Bridge:)

12-16-2007 Happy Anniversary Georgette:)

Georgette I still miss you so much. It's been another rough year. Without the help of my dear friends and Team Vivi I would not have made it this far. I finally have a job working for a rescue; Bobbi and the Strays. It's rewarding work and what I love to do but hardly pays the rent. I do my odd jobs but there's not enough coming in. Still looking for a second job. Can't complain as there is hope and light at the end of this tunnel. I pray it gets better soon.

We continue our search for Vivi and have helped many more dogs and cats find homes as well as making some mile stones in animal cruelty legislation. Authur did it again and I had to find homes for 4 of his birds. ClaraBell is still with us and may stay. She's a sweetie.:)

I found a Cocker Spaniel during the summer. We call her Freckles. Haven't located an owner so she's up for adoption. She's a wonderful dog and not one you would think would be dumped but that does seem the case. She finally has been spayed and ready to go to her new home.

Have you met Dennis? He crossed this year and he knows all about you of course. Say hi to him and all our family, friend and critters waiting with you. We are all doing well and Emily of course still loves to hear your voice on the tapes. Till we meet again my love.:)

Have a wonderful day with all our fids waiting with you on this your eighth anniversary at Rainbow Bridge:)

12-16-2008 Happy Anniversary Georgette:)

My sweet Georgette...another year passes and still you are alive in my heart always. Well this was truly one of the roughest years. Turns out the horses that go through the Vet Port barns increase from January to August. The pine they mix with the hay increases tremendously and dumped just outside the dog runs and passage way out to walk the dogs where the wind blows it around. Needed my inhaler more and more. January wasn't so bad but some cedar beds donated to us was the icing on the cake with a 6 day hospital stay. Then another 7 day stay in April. That time I almost was intubated and it was very bad. I can't go back there anymore. Been a fight that is still not over for SSD but finally have medicaid and doing tests. Lost 8 more teeth due to calcium loss from the steroids. There's more going on with me but I am holding up.

Saddest part is I had to give up Saphire and Indigo to the Long Island Parrot Society to find homes because they had no one to foster them for the month I needed to recoup and I was afraid they would got sick if I kept them here as they were the sloppiest birds and my friends that helped me with the birds are not as agile and slim as I and couldn't really clean them in that small room. I miss them dearly but am assured they have a good home. Judy took Clarabell so I get to see her. I also gave LIPS the two Cockatiels I was finding homes for.

Could you believe there was a sighting of Vivi in the same general area October 17? Picked out of both lineups. We are still faxing and posting. We will never give up hoping. We found Sniffles lost the same day as Vivi a week from the two years lost. He was found in Whitestone and in the SAVE shelter. I fostered him for a few weeks until my April hospital emergency. He's got a great home now.:) Freckles is in her new home also.

I am sure you have met up with Star by now. His loss was a blow and I sure miss his sweet songs. We have a new permanent foster Brownie a Papillon/Chihuahua mix. She is 14 with Mammary tumors. The Xray and blood work were all good with no cancer markers. We are treating her holistically and keeping and eye on the growth. She is healthy and very spry other wise. She was rescued from the Brooklyn CACC. Say hello to all our family, friends and critters waiting with you. Emily has not forgotten you either. Till we meet again my love.:)

Have a wonderful day with all our fids waiting with you on this your ninth anniversary at Rainbow Bridge:)

12-16-2009 Happy Anniversary Georgette:)

Sorry I am so late today. Been a rough day. Wow 10 years; seems a long time but I still long to hear, see and touch you. I have so much to say but it's not good so we will skip the updates this year. Except we are all still hanging in there so far. Survived another 10 day hospital stay but came close to joining you. Will have to find another place to live soon and still fighting for SSD. But I couldn't let this day go by without wishing you Happy anniversary. Hoping I can keep us all together. Glad I got this water resistant keyboard. lol The tears just came pouring down. I am glad you are safe with the Lord because I could never live through having to give you away. Please put a good word in for us down here so we can stay together.

Have a wonderful day with all our fids waiting with you on this your tenth anniversary at Rainbow Bridge:)
